Cancer Survivor Classes
Sandra started a "Fun with Color" watercolor class for cancer survivors in 2002. The class is free to all survivors. The Great Plains Regional Medical Center (North Platte Hospital) pays for all supplies. The class is an upbeat fun gathering every Wednesday morning. The artists love to learn new techniques and styles as well as painting all types of subject matter. Most of these artists are first time painters and have created many wonderful pieces of art. The hospital just recently published the 7th annual calendar of the group's work, distributing thousands of copies throughout the community.
The painters are a great support group for each other.
